MAXIM provides highly competitive and affordable rates for FUT procedures. Additionally, we extend a 0% financing option for up to 24 months. Pricing depends on factors such as the number of grafts and the type of procedure, and it may vary depending on the location.
The FUT procedure typically takes 6 to 8 hours and is performed in a clinic setting. Procedure duration varies based on factors such as the type of procedure, the number of grafts, hair curvature, patient discomfort tolerance, adherence to pre-operative instructions, medical history, and other considerations. During this time, patients have the flexibility to take bathroom and meal breaks.
FUT procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Feel free to unwind, enjoy a film, take a nap, or chat with our experts as they perform their expertise. Our goal is to establish a serene atmosphere, ensuring you feel relaxed and at ease throughout the entire procedure.
During FUT hair transplant surgery, the surgeon removes a strip of skin from the back or side of your head (donor area), extracting individual hair follicles. These follicles are dissected into individual grafts and subsequently implanted into the areas of your scalp experiencing hair loss. Each graft consists of 1 to 3 hair follicles, also known as micro grafts, and the procedure is sometimes referred to as micro-follicular hair transplantation. When hair transplants were first performed, each graft consisted of 5 to 10 hair follicles and were referred to as Plugs. They had the appearance of doll hair and were very obvious as transplanted hair to the naked eye. This is no longer the case with micro and mini hair grafting. Surgical hair restoration is now a natural, permanent and affordable procedure. The FUT procedure is established, proven and considered a work horse, particularly for those who desire MEGA sessions up to 4,000 grafts and a dense, fuller result.
To prepare for FUT surgery, we recommend no alcohol 48 hours prior and no Vitamin E for 7 days preceding your hair transplant. Your doctor will advise you regarding any blood thinners or other medications. A good night's sleep and rest prior to your procedure is essential. A light breakfast on the morning of your hair replacement surgery is required. Our Hair Transplant surgeon/clinician will perform a pre-op evaluation and informed consent. Medical clearance may be required for clients over 65 as well as those with a history of hypertension and cardiac issues. Written pre-op and post-op instructions are provided. At least one follow-up visit is mandatory.
